Becoming a natural neighbor – The Martha’s Vineyard Times

On Saturday, Could 7, at 1 pm, be a part of the West Tisbury library for a chat with Pure Neighbors method director Angela Luckey. The Normal Neighbors method promotes conservation of Martha’s Vineyard’s flora and fauna by way of environmental schooling and tailored management suggestions, in accordance to the library’s press launch, “reshaping perceptions of what is a productive yard.” 

Luckey will focus on the importance of thoughtful backyard administration to enhance native plant range, emphasizing the connections amongst plants, arthropods, birds, and other animals to help a balanced and dynamic system of producers and consumers. The speaker has a bachelor’s diploma in plant, soil, and insect sciences and a master’s in environmental plan and administration. Luckey has worked with environmental corporations like BiodiversityWorks, The Character Conservancy, and Sheriff’s Meadow Basis, and served as the assistant curator/guide horticulturist of the Butterfly Yard at the Museum of Science in Boston.
